We have been the leaders in bathrooms renovations in Toronto and we are proud of this. So it began with this client calling Borders Contracting with some moisture issues in the shower walls. She was also interested in a fresh new look for her bathroom renovation. She expressed some troubling experiences with contractors before. We had many clients from Toronto mention this in the past.
Borders Contracting understands how important the job is to the customer. Some contractors just don’t get it. If you’re going to do a spectacular job for the client, they will refer you to other potential clients. Clients will always call you back if the contractor does a great job on the renovation.
In the end, she picked us over the other two contractors. She said that the price was right, the previous work we did was beautiful, and we seemed very personable. I'm happy to say that we've built a great reputation in Toronto for bathroom renovations.
Bathroom Remodeled in Toronto
Her bathroom remodeling is in Toronto and it's great to see the clients expression when we are completed.
A bathroom is a place where you can kick back and relax and do your business. Most bathrooms in Toronto need to give you the feeling of like being in a sanctuary so you want it to look good. We began this bathroom project ripping everything out. The best way to start a project sometimes is removing everything and going down to the studs. We follow the same protocol and inspect the wood for any moisture or mold. We contacted our electricians to relocate the outlets, we put in fresh fiberglass insulation, then we follow up with the acoustical sealant and staple up the vapor barrier. This renovation in the bathroom needs to be right because you simply spend so much time in there.
Preparing The Bathroom Renovation Is Key.
We take pride in taking on these smaller renovations because they are like a piece of art. In Toronto, it can be tough to find contractors that take bathroom renovations as serious as us. We live for creating artwork, every renovation is a masterpiece to us. Even when it comes to doing the bathroom demo we do it right every step of the way. The lavatory construction is something we take pride in.

I and the client both decided that Kohler would be the brand of choice in Toronto we are the main specialist for Kohler when it comes to installing the new showers. As a Kohler specialist, we do highly recommend these bathroom supplies because of the warranty and the high-quality workmanship in every piece we install in our renovations. Now that we have completed the plumbing installation it is time to use cement board. Bathroom preparation for the renovation is very important, especially if you want your bathroom to last a lifetime. A cement board is a combination of cement and reinforcing fibers formed into three foot five-foot sheets, ¼ to ½ inch thick that are typically used as a tile backing board. We made a decision to use ½ inch so we could match up with our drywall. Bathrooms need to last a lifetime use quality materials that last.
Mudding is really an artwork in Toronto we specifically get called a lot for this part of the job, it’s definitely what makes the job turn out well on the end so I make sure to my time. The walls turned out great and they are ready for paint, we chose the paint called silver charm because it gave this fresh crisp look in the bathroom. We want a tile that really stood out and luckily our client had a picture in her mind for her bathroom. She recommended we put in a mosaic grey tile which in turn looked remarkable. The bathroom floor was finished with a marble which gave the bathroom that final touch.
In our Toronto the vanity, fixtures, and trim were next in the renovation, this is where the bathroom starts to really look come to life. Before you know it the Kohler fixtures are installed and the vanity just looks amazing the measurements are perfect. We connected the plumbing and installed the lights last and we finished it off with nailing on some baseboards and the renovation is finally complete.
